The thread. Come-from-Beyond, who claimed to be done with Bitcoin, spent 2012–2015 in its political threads, reserving special venom for Gavin Andresen — the developer Satoshi handed the project to.
Points toward Satoshi
The register is proprietary. He venerates “St. Satoshi” while treating Gavin as a usurper: “involvement of Gavin into [the Foundation] is very dangerous.” He defined his own conduct against Gavin — “I’m not going to be a 2nd Gavin… [BCNext] won’t appear. Just like Satoshi.” That’s a man measuring himself against Satoshi’s heir, grieving Bitcoin’s capture as if it were his to lose.
Points against
This is also exactly how a passionate altcoin founder and Bitcoin critic would talk. Anti-Foundation, anti-frontman politics were common. And there’s a real tension: the actual Satoshi was warm and collaborative toward Gavin in 2009–10 — crediting his ideas, handing him the keys. If CFB is Satoshi, he later savaged his own chosen successor.
Weight
Genuinely double-edged. The possessive emotion hints at proprietorship; the venom-vs-Satoshi’s-warmth contrast pushes back. Reads as motive, not proof.
