Tracking the Patoshi pattern

CFB followed the forensic hunt for Satoshi's own coins closely — citing the early-mining fingerprint himself.

The thread. In a 2015 thread titled “Satoshi is back?”, Come-from-Beyond wrote: “Satoshi mined 19000 of first 20000 blocks. What odds that those were his coin? 95%.”

Points toward Satoshi

He tracked the forensic research into which coins were Satoshi’s — the “Patoshi” pattern. Combined with his stylometry fluency and his fascination with the identity question (“my brain is good at finding patterns and I spent enough time investigating who Satoshi was”), it paints someone unusually invested in both how Bitcoin was built and how one would prove who built it.

Points against

The Patoshi figures were public by 2013–15 (from Sergio Lerner’s work). Citing them shows interest, not authorship — and arguably, the real Satoshi wouldn’t need to estimate “95%” about his own coins; he’d know.

Weight

Shows obsession with the question, which is itself a (weak) tell either way. Closer to neutral.
